MEDITATION creates inner peace and clarity!
Simply put meditation defined is the exercise of turning one's focus inward, thereby gaining distance, perspective and ideally, enlightenment. There is a huge range of meditation techniques and styles, but meditation exercises will usually fall into one of these two categories: concentrative and mindfulness meditations.
Concentrative mediation requires the focusing of the individual's attention upon some activity or object such as a candle flame, picture, one's breathing or the repetition of a keyword or mantra. Transcendental Meditation is concentrative meditation because it uses a mantra.
Mindfulness meditation is about allowing the mind to wander in a meditative state as one perceives thoughts, feelings, and sensations in a state of heightened awareness. Guided meditation is mindfulness meditation one can listen to a specially created meditation that is aimed at releasing, empowering and so much more.
All meditation requires of us is that we turn off or tune out the outside world, and focus our interest and awareness on the inner, invisible realm, ideally resulting in a greater centering and uniting of the body, mind and spirit. It is believed that meditation can give us greater awareness, increased psychic ability, and a sense of spiritual connectedness to the larger universe. Keep in mind that anyone can learn to meditate but like any skill it must be practiced regularly to gain any benefits. If you could start out by setting aside 10 minutes a day and work your way to do twenty minutes a day. At this point you will be feeling so good and clear you may want to meditate two times a day taking a total of 40 minutes to redirect you outer energy inward. Meditation removes stress from the mind and body.
Meditation is not about asking it is about listening.
When you want something pray or ask through affirmations.
Scientifically, it is proven that regular meditation has a significant effect on the body, including lowered blood pressure, improved immunity and reduced anxiety.
I have been meditating for over 25 years, mostly doing Transcendental Meditation, and I must say that it has changed my perceptions, added to my serenity level and given me immense insight!
